The weekend for me is about taking the time to relax and recharge my batteries after working a full-time job during the week. It's all about finding a place to have brunch and catching up with friends and family. So my weekend outfit has to be comfortable yet stylish for all the eating and drinking. For autumn I wanted to bring you guys different looks that have inspired me from the catwalk trends to the street style I check out on Pinterest. Styling autumnal clothing can be tricky as you don't want to drown yourself with oversized pieces, so finding the balance is key. For me, I like to take oversized styles and pair them with straight legged trousers or even culottes to balance out your outfit.
When buying knitwear like the style I have here, I am looking for a classic chunky knit pattern in a lightweight wool. The key when buying an item like this is to make sure the fibres are not going to suffocate and be heavy on you. This piece by Weekday has the balance just right and for this time of year I don't need to wear a coat with it. Here I have styled it with my cream stripe tailored trousers as I want to create a different look for a knitwear based outfit. Teaming it with my loafers and these trousers gives a modern take on a weekend look. I would like to know what different outfits you guys wear at the weekend and if you would like to see more casual weekend looks.
