WEDDING GUEST OUTFITS - WITH FARFETCH STYLE GUIDE

Wedding season comes around every year and the more my friends get married, the more I've noticed how each wedding is completely different! Couples create their special day and that gives an insight into what makes them happy.. from choosing the venue to things like having photos with sparklers at the end of the night!

When it comes to weddings, people tend to really go to town treating their guests in a unique ways on their special day. With that in mind I was inspired by the Farfetch Style Guide post on What To Wear To A Wedding to put together three different looks for wedding guests.

Every year wedding season comes around and the more of my friends get married the more I've noticed how different each wedding we have been to. Couples are creating there special day that gives an insight into what makes them happy. From choosing the venue to little things, like having photos with sparklers at the end of the night. People want to really treat there guests to unique ways of celebrating there special day. With that all in mind I was inspired by Farfetch Style Guide post on What To Wear To A Wedding to put together three different looks for wedding guests depending on where the special couple are getting married.

CITY SLICKER

This first look was inspired by a current trend which is wearing black for a wedding. The LBD is always great for a party but for a special occasion like a wedding why not experiment with a cut out wide leg jumpsuit. I think it's perfectly fine to wear a piece that has a cut out or low neckline as long as it's done tastefully. Here I have teamed the jumpsuit with these retro gem embellished sandals. For a touch of glamour I have accessorised with a pair of statement earrings and kept the bag & over coat simple with just white pieces.

OVERSEAS WEDDING

This second look is for all those people going weddings abroad. We have had a few wedding invitations abroad for 2018, so I am already planning what to wear in a hot climate. Here I have picked out this patterned lace dress for a fun summery feel. As the dress is so busy, I have teamed it with these simple strappy sandals. Keeping the silver theme within this look I have found this retro silver metalwork bag for a point of difference. As you are abroad of course I have included a pair of sunglasses and a shawl for those cooling summer nights.

THE UNIQUE WEDDING

This kind of wedding is fun, creative and very unique! These are the friends who have always said I would love to have a festival theme wedding or get married on a beach in Cornwall. So for this final look I have created a fun and quirky look that is smart enough for wedding photos but something you could wear anywhere. I have picked out this brightly coloured shift dress with tie details at the shoulders and I have teamed it with these two toned flat sandals. For a pop of pattern I have chosen this pom pom embellished bag and some statement earrings. To finish the whole look off, I have this leather jacket for an easy look.

Weddings in particular can be rather hard to dress for. I hope this post has inspired you to go forth and find something that shows off your personality but is also in keeping with the wedding in question.
