TOPSHOP JEANS PART 1 - MOM JEANS
For this week's outfit posts I am focusing on Topshop jeans, finding the best pair for your style and body shape. Something I always talk about on my blog is having staple items in your wardrobe and a staple items like jeans should be a base for you to build different outfits with. I believe a good pair of jeans should be of quality and be able to take you from season to season. Topshop has always been my favourite high street store to purchase jeans, chatting with friends they always rave about the quality and fit of Topshop jeans. Having said that I always struggle finding the perfect pair of jeans as I have short (ish) legs, so the standard length in Topshop is a bit too long and I have to turn them up and the petite can sometimes come up to short. Plus technically my waist should be a size 8 and my bum & thighs are edging towards more of a size 12, so trying on loads of different styles is key for me when finding the best pair.
So to this gorgeous pair of washed mom jeans, when I saw them instore I fell in love with the wash and style. When chilling out over the weekend I want a pair of jeans that are relaxed, no fuss and high waisted so if I want to I can pig out I can do whilst still looking cool! These jeans are just that, the fit of these mom jeans are perfect for my frame. I like that from the thighs up these jeans are fitted to your shape and even slightly nipped in at the waist to fit just right. The fabric to the mom jeans is true denim but because they have been treated the denim is soft so there is give in them when you sit down. One thing I love about mom jeans is the tapered leg from your knee and sits perfect at your ankle. Because of the true denim fabric these jeans will keep their shape for a long time, so I would advise only washing when needed. I have styled them here with a sports style crop top and a western belt for a simple Sunday chills look. Let me know your thoughts on the jeans and if you love Topshop jeans.
