Last week I was lucky enough to be invited along to the Topshop Education blogger event at Topshop HQ. This was such an exciting event for me to be invited to as I am a massive fan of Topshop. It felt such an honour to go and see how they design/create their clothes plus being able to meet the marketing team and to see how they want to work bloggers. The afternoon started with cakes, chocolate and pink processco a great way to start a friday afternoon in my eyes, as you can see from my photos they knew how to put on a spread to make us feel welcome.
It was so nice to meet the going out dresses designer and buyer who talked us through their job highs - shopping trips and clubbing in various cities across the world for research, to the lows of being sat in a factory for 12 hours straight designing garment after garment until you get it right. All of these I can relate to and it was nice to hear no matter what part of the fashion industry you work in, you all go through the same crazy work life.
What was so exciting about this event is that the deisgners gave us a preview of their Spring Summer 16 collection. There are lots of shimmer and shining metallic fabrics with pleats still being a massive trend for Topshop. What they did say is their Topshop girl is wanting to have that extra special fabric and designed going out styles, that other high street stores couldn't give her, which I can relate to when shopping at Topshop.
Finishing off this evening we had the chance to mingle and meet the other bloggers that came to the event, its always so nice to meet like-minded people at these events to exchange ideas and interests. A lovely final treat to us for attending the event they handed cute little goodie bags for us to take home. Hopefully this is the beginning of a very exciting relationship together and I can bring to you guys some exciting blog posts for you to get involved in.
