This week I wanted to share with you guys an example of what I wear on a day-to-day basis for work. Now the weather hasn't much improved since it's now officially spring, so I'm still wearing thick knitwear and my winter coat. But I wanted to update my wardrobe so I invested in this Matisse-inspired colour blocking thick knit which I think is perfect for making the trans from winter to spring.
This paper cut trend is around in some of the shops, lending its self to more of a minimalist look. With modernist shapes, oversized florals and abstract patterns with a pop of colour on a black or white background. I know this isn't to everyone's taste and I actually bought this thick knit over a month ago so it has been sat in my wardrobe because I wasn't sure it it suited me. In fact I was thinking of taking it back but the weather has cold so I needed it and now I love it!
I'd love to know your thoughts on this trend or the knit I'm wearing!
Above are some examples of other Matisse-inspired knits.
