Since coming back from my holiday, the weather in London has been very kind and bought us lots of sunshine. Although I must admit it has been unbearably humid at night and we haven't been able to sleep without the fan being on, it's made it all worth it for when the suns out in the day!
I have to say as my style has evolved over the past couple of years, I have began to struggle finding summer dresses that one I like and two suit my figure and three are age appropriate. I have never been a massive fan of girly looking dresses, unless they have an unique pattern or detail to them. The usual floral prints make me look younger than I am, making me feel very self conscious. I know that sounds crazy that a girl wants to look her age, but I just feel like if I wear a girly dress, with my hair down and not a lot of make up I feel like I am 16 year old girl! Having said that I don't want to make myself to look older by wearing midi skirts and maxi dresses. Summer dressing can be a proper minefield. Please tell me I'm not the only one that struggles with summer dresses?!
This sounds like a massive first world problem but I think I might have found a gorgeous summer dress that ticks all the boxes in style, taste and print. This off the shoulder midi dress is from Urban Outfitters and I am loving the look of it.
For the last couple of seasons, I've lost the love for Urban and picked other high street stores as I felt their designs went too commercial and lacked an edgy look to the clothes. Even though this dress isn't the most out there style, it does feel more like their old designs in both the pattern and the quality.
Here I have teamed the dress with my new favourite mules from Dune. I'm still very much in love with velvet and even when it falls out of fashion again I know I'll still be wearing these beauties! I would love to know how you are styling out the heat?
