STRIPES ON STRIPES ON STRIPES
Well officially spring has arrived, we are half way through March and its time to really start thinking about your spring summer wardrobe. From being inspired by a few other bloggers I decided to do put together a stripe wish list post. My intention for the pieces I have picked out is to guide you into spring with some key wardrobe updates before jumping in feet first into summer.
Personally I love a good stripe any time of year but they are fitting for this trans period and one item of clothing that can be worn with black jeans or a leather skirt is this stripe oversized shirt. I have picked out this one in particular for the open back detail and the grandad collar as a point of difference. Another trend I am still loving is the co-ord look, here I have picked out a thin stripe cotton poplin co-ord from ASOS. I love this look with the square finish to the neckline and oversized trousers. I would probably wear this for a casual day date with my boyfriend, teaming it with the Quay sunglasses. The next thing on my wish list is this modern stripe mini dress from & Other Stories, this piece would take you from desk to dance floor on a Friday night by just changing your flats to heels. What I love about this piece the most is unconventional modern stripe that & Other Stories have printed on this dress. My favourite piece of this wish list and the piece that started off this stripe board is the kimono sleeve jumpsuit from ASOS. This jumpsuit for me is all about power play and I would wear this for an important meeting with a client to impress and make you feel like the boss. You could wear it with silver Birkenstocks or black heeled sandals. To finish off the clothing I have picked out this stripe bodysuit from Nasty Gal, it can never be to early to start planning what to buy for your summer holiday and this swimsuit would be great for pool parties.
If stripes are not your thing to wear I have picked out a couple of other items you could invest in. This stripe umbrella from Zara, because well we all know you need a umbrella in the UK so why not invest in this thinly striped one. I have also picked out this distressed stripe clutch bag, which is a great way to set off an all black outfit.
Let me know your thoughts on the items guys,
