PYJAMA SHIRT

Following on from last weeks micro-trend on frayed denim I have been following another micro-trend the pjyama shirt. The pyjama shirt has been around for a couple of seasons and I wasn't sure about it originally until I saw the street style shots from NYFW & LFW. Editors and fashionistas have been wearing the silk pyjama shirt trend as twin sets or as a statement shirt for a seriously comfy and chic look. The key to this trend is to dress up the shirt with tailored trousers, a slinky set of sandals but keeping the hair tousled to give a rolled out of bed vibe.

Here I have picked out some key pyjama shirts I feel have a strong look but can fit into your wardobe. The first pyjama top is from Zara and is an affordable version of the Rag and Bone top. I have styled it here with some vintage Levi 501's and a pony hair crossbody bag for a injection of print to your outfit. Zara have really nailed this trend and have created another key pyjama shirt in a floral print with culottes as a co-ord set. To finish off this outfit a simple crossbody bag and a rose gold cut-out circle necklace as a simple detail. My final outfit is a strong look as this twin set is the closest to an actual pyjama set but I love it and worn with the lace-up sandals and the rose gold hello ring, perfect! To finish this outfit off the mint coloured rock studded shoulder bag. Let me know your thoughts on this trend?
