XMAS HIGH-END V HIGH STREET WISHLIST #6
For the first of my festive blog posts, I thought I would start with this party look. I decided to start with a party look that can take you from your desk to the dance floor for your Christmas party. I have seen a few party looks being featured on some fashion blogs so I thought I would bring my own take and what makes a great festive party outfit.
For the high-end outfit, I went straight for this leather midi skirt with tie front detail. This style of a skirt at a midi length works great with heels and in leather gives an edgy look to a sophisticated piece. For added sparkle to this look, I have picked out this glitter lurex bodysuit. This goes perfectly with the midi skirt, keeping you warm and still looking glamorous for a winter party. To make this outfit pop I have added these mirrored metallic heeled boots by Opening Ceremony. They will give some height to this look and the metallic heels will match with the chunky silver, giving an overall edgy feel. To finish this whole look off I have placed this celestial across the body bag, with some stunning embellished design by Valentino.
For my high street version of this look, I have picked out this glitter bodysuit, which is pretty much like as the Opening Ceremony one, with the only difference being that this doesn't have the high neck. To go with this bodysuit I found a version of the leather midi skirt from Topshop and at a fraction of the price and even a nice split detail to the front. As for the mirror heeled boots, there have been loads of high street stores cover this trend for autumn winter. But the boots I picked out for the high street version was Miista, as they are pretty much a carbon copy of the Opening Ceremony ones. They are still a little bit pricey, but it's worth noting Miista have some amazing sales! To bring this whole look together I found this hoop silver necklace which will sit nicely against the lurex fabric of the bodysuit. To carry on the celestial embellished vibe of the bags I chose this beaded number from Mango. The bag is a more affordable version of this key trend whilst still being a stylish bag that can be worn with any party look. Let me know your thoughts on this Christmas party look?
