Over the knee boots are a style of boot that I have admired on other people for so long but have always shied away from purchasing a pair. Thinking how on earth can I style these boots into my wardrobe in an stylish way. I am not a fan of wearing short dresses and boots, so being inspired by what I have seen from New York Fashion Week street style and from Farfetch article on over the knee boots I have put together three looks.
An effortless look that is perfect for work and even taking you from the office to straight out for a meal after work. These block heel boots are the perfect in between style, that you can dress up or down. Here the matte finish of the leather sits nicely against the shiny sequins on the skirt. To give the look an autumnal feel I've added in a colour block jumper and colour contrast black bag.
This is the weekend shopping look. Enough of a heel to give you height, but not to high for walking around the shops in. Here I've teamed these black boots with this beige corduroy mac style coat, not so great if it rains but perfect for those crisp winter days. To finish the whole look off a contrast red bag and some oversized sunglasses to block out the winter sunshine.
The final look is all party, with the true over the knee thigh high boot look that will turn heads when you walk. Teaming these boots with a classic wrap dress, you can get away with showing just enough thigh for a classy party style look. Bringing this whole look together is the gold tassel earrings and the contrast silver metal bag, making it a great Friday night party look.
Feeling very inspired by the over the knee boot now, but which look do you prefer? and will you be buying into this style of boot this season?
