New Year is in full swing and this time I haven't made any crazy resolutions which I'll only keep until the middle of February; or until someone tempts me to go out! I believe we put so much pressure on ourselves at the beginning of the year and create these unattainable goals that when we can't achieve them we feel we have let ourselves down. So this year I have decided take each day as it comes and change small parts of my life without setting a massive end goal. The first step in this is simple, just get organised! By this I mean buying a dayto day diary like the one I have picked out here. Having a diary helps me plan what I need to do for that day and its small enough so it can easily fit in my handbag. Another great item for being organised is a chalk board, this is great for planning your meals for dinner time. I find this helps as you know can create shopping lists and you can plan healthy meals, saving money and a healthy lifestyle in one small step! Now this lends me onto Joe Wicks' Lean in 15, this guy is all over Instagram showing people that simple healthy cooking can be done under 15 mins. The meal plans this guys has in his book are so easy to follow, whilst also being healthy and so tasty, the best £6.99 I have spent in a long time! Plus you can write his meals up on your chalk board for the week.
A new year resolution people do is to join a gym and this is a great step forward but I bet most of people dont have any clue what they are doing the first time they head back to the gym. I would recommend buying Womens Health for the first month or so, the workouts are easy to follow and believe me they test your fitness out and push you to your limits! I have signed up for the year as they have different types of workouts plans depending on the time of year it is, plus little helpful extras like what foods you should be having before and after your workouts. Things I would never have known before! Of course if you have joined that gym and you want to look sharp for the first time back I have put on this wish list H&M gym gear, I absolutely love their workout gear it is so affordable and is made to such high quality. I feel you dont always have to spend loads of workout gear, get more for your money.
After all the meal planning & workouts, you want to relax and recharge your batteries for the next day, I find a deep cleanse of face is in order. I love a peel off mask to get rid of the impurities from your face, the one I have here has been advertised alot and the black mixture colour intrigued me as a point of difference.
One of my my favourite things to buy in the new year is new bedding as overall it just freshens up the bedroom and makes your room look crisp and new. I also love to add some greenery to my desk and I have picked out three plants that dont need much attention and care as I do forget to water plants.
Hopfully this post will inspire you and please let me know how you intend to approach the new year.
