Sometimes you just love an item so much you make it work into your style. This denim 'jacket' was born a denim dress, but has now transformed into this longline denim jacket. It is now my new favourite! I spoke about longline denim jackets in my April Inspiration post, looking at how the denim fabric gives an edge to a simple jacket and featured one from ASOS which I then decided to buy myself!
It's actually a dress by ASOS WHITE collection, but when I originally saw it on the model I thought it would look great over jeans to create an update to the classic double denim look. But when I received the dress and tried it on I instantly thought this is going to look far better as a jacket than as a dress!
The denim piece is made of such high-quality denim that it doesn't have a lot of give in the fabric so me being a little petite I thought it's best not worn as a dress. Also, the sizing was quite big as a dress but great for wearing open over the top of an outfit. I feel that a piece like this is something that I can see myself wearing again and again. If you follow me on Instagram I have teamed this denim item with so many looks already and it just seems to bring an outfit together. Here in this post is my favourite look. Teaming the dark denim against the light washed denim jeans with a simple grey marl t-shirt and yellow accents of colour from my beloved suede Zara mules. Let me know what your thoughts on loving a piece so much you make it work into your wardrobe and if you guys like this look.
