Day two of London Fashion Week was way more chilled for me, I was feeling a little hungover from drinks on Friday night. My hangovers keep getting worse as I get older, I'm just getting too old to drink! On Saturday I spent the morning with Joe wandering around Soho taking photos and went for a hearty hungover brunch at Dirty Bones. This sorted me right out and ready for the second day of shows but this time I had more suitable shoes on for running around town.
For my second day at LFW, I teamed up with Monsoon to bring to you a velvet look. I've always been a massive fan of this plush fabric, whether it's crinkled, pleated or crushed. When Monsoon asked me to get involved with their new season velvet collection, I jumped at the chance. This collection ticked all the right boxes, from the velvet suits to the velvet chunky sandals. You know you're onto a winning collection. The key items that I fell in love with are the cami top for the subtle pleats which you can only see when up close and the beautiful lace trim at the neckline. I felt like you didn't need a necklace as the lace detail was enough. I also was instantly drawn to the colour and elegant strap detail of the green chunky sandals. And not to mention the jacket that has a stunning dark paisley pattern which shows up perfectly when the light hits the velvet. This is such a luxe jacket that feels incredible on!
Being inspired by the jewel colours I put together a quad velvet look and mixed it up with a little denim to break up the luxe fabrics. The black pleated top sits perfectly against the light washed jeans. To give me a little height I've added these beautiful jewel green chunky sandals. These are so comfy and I already know how much wear I will get out of these! For a cover-up, I have this dark pattern velvet blazer and to finish the whole look off is this stunning dark burgundy red bag, that made think of the Gucci style handbags. When added all together it gives a fun winter look, the denim balances out all the jewel colours perfectly
P.s. The raw hem is a nice touch against the plush velvet sandals
