Day one of London Fashion Week is done and boy do I feel it! This is my first official fashion week that I am properly attending. Crazy I know as I have been a Fashion Designer for over 6 years now, but I have never once attended the shows for work purposes. In a way, I am glad to be doing fashion week on my own terms seeing shows that inspire me and not for work.

I've read so many blog posts about fashion week advice and how to make the most of this mad week. But from the get-go, I totally ignored one key factor and that was to wear comfortable shoes, instead opting for these shiny silver boots. Such a schoolboy error on my part but just look at these boots. What made me know I'd made the right decision was the compliments and having my feet papped, made the pain worth it. I just love the high shine on these boots and how they add a glossy high-end feel against the Gucci inspired floral midi dress. Even though I did unzip my boots when I got the pub at the end of the day, I don't regret wearing them! This pair will happily become my party boot for the winter months, as they pretty much go with everything I've tried them on with.

Apart from my shoe error, my first day was so much fun running from one show to next and catching a glimpse of what trends will come through for spring summer 18. I chose to see shows by designers that are new to the scene or not big names as I find them so much more experimental and fun. Not having the pressure to make the perfect show, these designers instead use their platforms to create clothing that has no boundaries. From what I've seen so far, it makes me excited to see what the other designers have in store for us!

Have you done London Fashion Week or any fashion week?
