For years I have been a fan of acid wash jeans, owning so many different styles. When shopping I would gravitate to the distressed styles with ripped holes at the knees, these rips would eventually get bigger and bigger making them unwearable. This past season that has all changed, I made an effort to purchase jeans without the extreme acid wash look, instead investing in true indigo denim. I have been heavily influenced by the designer Vetements, with their clean indigo denim looks that have just a hint of a distressed look with frayed edges. I wanted to achieve this look but without paying the designer prices so I went on the hunt for a pair of Levi nineties jeans, when I came across a carbon copy of the indigo 501's in Zara. This pair of indigo coloured jeans were exactly what I was looking for and the fit is true to my size.
The mom jeans are a great style for my body shape, as they go into a straight leg at the calf balancing out my hips. I have teamed my new jeans with this mesh top, also from Zara. I love the gothic style and girly edge with the ruffles and gathers of the mesh. To finish this outfit off I have worn my favourite pair of heels by Christian Wijants and my silver across the body bag. This outfit has got me so excited for the coming season and seeing how the high street will translate the trends from the catwalk. So far I have only seen a taster of what's to come. Let me know what you think of this look and if you are excited for the A/W trends to hit the stores?
