For this week's high-end versus high street wishlist I decided to put together a work wear outfit for an office, keeping in mind both style and comfort whilst sitting at your desk all day. As I have done before, I have put together a high-end outfit with designer pieces then I have sourced out more affordable alternatives. Let's get into the first outfit.
Ruffles have been a key spring summer trend and they have now carried on into winter, with designers going to the extreme with their ruffles. Here I have picked out this nude t-shirt for it's asymmetric detail and teaming with these houndstooth origami trousers for a contrast of colours. For added comfort I have put these leather ankle boots with mirror heels, making a simple pair of boots stand out. To finish this whole outfit off I have chosen this shearling leather jacket. This jacket is a stand out piece for winter, the shearling jacket has really come into its own this season but is a piece that never really goes out of fashion. Finally, this across the body bag is just big enough for your essentials and has some gorgeous chain detail to the strap. A simple bag for a winter wardrobe look.
My high street version of this work wear look starts with this ruffle t-shirt from Monki. At a fraction of the price this t-shirt has similar detail to the designer version, just in a slightly different shade. Take this t-shirt and team it with these houndstooth trousers, F&F have nailed the houndstooth print and at such an affordable price of £16! From the Autumn winter catwalks there have been key designers that have influenced the high street, one of those has been Saint Laurent for their 80's inspired boots. Zara being a leader of the high street have created the perfect version of the 80's mirror boots. For the shearling jacket, Mango have created this I would say cuter and more girly version. Finish this whole high street look off with a small leather cross the body bag from & Other Stories.
There are elements from both outfits I would wear but I would love to know your thoughts on both looks and if you absolutely love any of the pieces?
