With the start of a new fashion season, brings new trends, shapes and outfit ideas. I love the beginning of any season but I do get a little bit more excited for autumn / winter over spring. I like how the designers on the catwalk push their designing of silhouettes for winter and this season is no different. Reworking classic staples to fit into anyone's wardrobe. The fashion week street style outfits have provided me with lots of inspiration to create an updated version of my wish list outfit post. I know that sometimes my wish list post can feature more designer clothing so I have created a second version, comparing a high end outfit with a high street version. This week I have picked out a structured blue shirt and mom jeans for a day time look.
The high-end outfit is based around this blue structured shirt, I just love the obscure opening detail to the front and the powder blue colour. I am naturally drawn to boyfriend jeans as they fit my pear shape perfectly and give a clean casual look to any outfit. This pair by Cityshop have a true slouchy Jean look to them, so they are great for teaming them with this shirt. I would wear the shirt with one hem tucked in and the other out for a styling detail. For this casual look, I have teamed this look with some backless loafer style slippers. The ones Gucci have with the fur detail will sit perfectly against the colour of the jeans and bring this whole outfit together. For finishing touches, I've added in this cross the body bag and this stunning leather jacket to throw on.
For my high street version I have picked out this blue shirt from Zara, the styling detail of the Golden Goose shirt was very unique and it could be quite hard to style so I have picked out a clean cut shirt instead. The jeans are classic Waven style and with similar colourings to the designer one. The high street has really stepped up there game in the jeans department that there would be no reasons to go with these from Waven over the designer pair. I absolutely love the Gucci loafers but the price is a little over the top for me so I searched out this similar pair by Jeffery Campbell. The only difference I would say is the lack of fur and a different buckle, as for the standard of shoe Jeffery Campbell have a high standard. The alternative to the brightly coloured fur bag is this muted coloured cross the body bag, it has soft look and sits great against the muted tone of the shirt. To tie the whole look together I've picked out this leather biker jacket, it has such similar styling details to the designer one. The only difference is that the high style has a textured fabric interest but is an amazing styling piece for any outfit.
I would like to know your thoughts on both outfits and which one you preferred. If there is anything you would like me to style whether it's in my outfits or on the Wishlist please let me know below!
