Hey guys and welcome to my Glastonbury festival blog post. I have taken a well needed break from work and blogging to spend time with friends at my favourite place in the entire world. Only people who have been to Glasto before will know how exciting it was to be back at this magical setting in the middle of a field.
One of the best things about this week was spending time with my friends. Some of the group I went with I met at Glastonbury a couple of years ago and the rest I have met through them since then, making us a massive group of extended friends. As we share the same taste in music and love for festivals this makes the experience of festivals even more special!
Anyway enough gushing about my love of Glastonbury and let's get into the outfits I wore. Of course it wouldn't be a festival if I didn't wear any fancy dress and this year I even took a pink curly wig for the days my hair wasn't looking the best. If you are doing a festival where you can't get to the showers and it's longer than three days, a wig is a great shout. Plus you know you can get away with a bright coloured wig for a festival. As well as the fancy dress I like to pack pieces that I know aren't to expensive so you don't mind if they get dirty, from sitting on the ground or covered in dust like this year.
One of the best places I find to shop for festival wear is Forever 21. They have a great choice for on trend pieces and an even better price point, so if they get totally ruined whilst you're there you don't feel too guilty about it. Anyway let's get into the first look, which by the way was my favourite look and it was when I was feeling a lot fresher and cleaner. It wouldn't be an outfit post if I didn't feature a piece of denim so I decided to pick out the perfect festival denim pinafore dress for this look and layer over the top of a stripe off the shoulder crop top. I loved this look as I was showing off enough skin to tan while feeling on point for festival fashion. Here I teamed this look with my faithful Birkenstock sandals, oversized pink sunglasses which are only worn to look good, not for keeping the sun out your eyes. This was my favourite look for festival fashion, it's easy to style and felt very put together for the first day!
My second look was a few days in when I wasn't feeling so fresh and at this point I had lost count of how many times I had dry shampooed my hair. It really is a lifesaver that stuff! One thing was for sure I needed something light, loose and easy to move around around in. The weather this year for Glasto was recorded to be the hottest on a single day, so you can imagine the need for an easy outfit at this point. Also when it comes to festival fashion I do like to mix it up and try it pieces I wouldn't normally, the whole point of this look was to create a fun outfit. I am totally in love with rah rah skirts for this season and have invested in quite a few for my holiday next week. So with a floaty lilac skirt I teamed it with this floaty strappy satin top. This look was perfect for a day wandering around the festival going from tent to tent without getting too hot. To finish the whole look off I have teamed it with my converse and my big cat eye sunglasses from Forever 21. For all my looks throughout Glastonbury I used a black rucksack from Forever 21, which was perfect for carrying all my essentials.
Hope you guys like the outfits as much as I did. I would love to know where you shop for festival fashion and if you went to Glastonbury or are planning to go to any other festivals this season.
