GETTING READY FOR AUTUMN
Hello guys, hope you had a lovely weekend! I know I certainly did, brunching in town at 19 Cafe Bar then heading down to West Didsbury for West Fest. We basically spent the whole of Saturday on a bar crawl down Burton Road, enjoying quite a few G&T’s in the sunshine. I felt like it was the last weekend of the summer and the weather was glorious. With the beginning of September, begins a fresh season or school year and the end of summer.
Even though we have had this last bit of summer sunshine I am finding myself gravitating to autumnal pieces for the stormy autumnal days. I mentioned in my last Inspiration post that I was on the lookout for a cream cardigan. This is something that isn’t a trend piece as such but is something I could wear season after season. I found a very lovely style of cardigan by Helmut Lang but it came with a hefty price tag of £450, which when I said out loud to people that I was willing to spend that amount of money on a cardigan they did think I was pretty mad! Well never guess who came through with pretty much the exact cardigan to the designer one... Marks and Sparks.
Some other knitwear pieces from Marks & Spencer
Taking a little detour to pick up some snacks while shopping I found myself in the middle of the knitwear section in Marks and Spencer’s and stumbled across this cardigan. As well as this piece I have also picked out some other knitwear pieces that I love.
For the first of many outfits with my new cardigan, I’ve gone for a classic laid-back look with this oversized kaftan dress from & Other Stories and my new beloved Superga trainers. Trainers are having a real moment this season and I intend to embrace this in my own way. Not quite into the dad trainers, but you just never know. Let me know your thoughts on the knitwear and this look.
