FRIDAY I'M IN LOVE
Well it's finally here, the season for festive cheer and all that jazz. The 1st December marks the beginning of Christmas for me. A whole month of Christmas markets, winter parties and lots of pigs in blankets. The build up for me is the best part, it's an excuse to eat as many Christmas sandwiches as humanly possible and have cheeky mince pies with your afternoon cuppa. I hope I'm not alone here! As well as all the food, it's also the perfect excuse to wear your most shimmer and shiny pieces out from your wardrobe. This season my fabric of choice has been velvet, it's been perfect for this cold weather while still looking extra in this luxe fabric.
Today is my works Winter Party, so I feel it's appropriate to start knocking out different Christmas party looks to hopefully inspire you for your parties. I did feature a beautiful, and slightly booby French Connection dress here but today I thought I would bring you a completely different party outfit. This is for the girls out there that want to look glam and keep it classy.
Velvet is the perfect fabric for winter, not only a stylish luxe fabric it also keeps you warm. It's perfect for when you are jumping from the train to tube and then at the end of the night in a taxi home. I'm always thinking how to keep warm these days, long gone are the days of not going out without a coat. That also leads me on to say, make your coat part of your look. No longer is your coat something you wear to the event and then hang up. Your coat can bring a whole outfit together and finish a look off. Embrace the coat.
I thoroughly enjoyed wearing this velvet co-ord. I was going for a 1920 vibe with a modern twist quadruple velvet for added effect. I would love to know your thoughts on this look and party looks that you would love me to try out?
