Coming back to work after a break can be really hard, you can feel out of sorts and really not feel like getting back into it. As any creative person, (and I'm talking to everyone who blogs) finding the motivation to get back into designing or writing can be tough after a holiday. My creative 'juices' have totally gone wandering this past week, in both my design work and with my blog. To get myself out of this mini rut I start by researching for new ideas for outfits on Pinterest and creating a board to inspire myself for my next lot of outfit ideas and for my design work. I am also looking for new fonts and text that will inspire me for new slogan t-shirts, so I took to the streets to find some interesting side streets and walkways to take photos. With this in mind we took a little detour into an area of Shoreditch I wouldn't normally visit, we ended up discovering some wonderful pieces of urban art. I feel inspired by the graffiti that is drawn along these walls and the detail some artists put into their designs, is just incredible. I love how the artists express their thoughts and feelings to what has been a turbulent year so far! Art in any form can inspire me when designing a new project at work and graffiti is a massive inspiration at the moment.
Anyway, onto this outfit. I have kept it very simple with this look and put the focus onto this chunky knit cardigan. Like I have said it a previous post this here, this is a beautifully structured knit that can be worn in a very slouchy way. A jeans and t-shirt combination is one of the favourite looks, I go back to on a weekly basis. To give an edge to this look I have added my burgundy sock boots, which gives me great height and makes this look a little more formal. Of course not forgetting this grey winter coat, this is one of the best Primark bargains I have ever purchased! You guys over on Instagram complimented me on this coat and it is my favourite winter coat I own, proving you don't have to spend lots of clothes to have the best. It's how you style it out! Please let me know if you liked the backdrop of the graffiti and if you liked the outfit.
